Michael Schumacher has been off the spotlight since his accident but a doctor who has been treating him all this while revealed that he was making some quick progress. But back tracking to words said by doctor Jean Francois Payen who treated Schumacher while he was in the French Hospital at Grenoble had told media that his case would take some time for him to make full recovery. He estimated 1- 3 years before he could be declared fit, could this mean Schumacher could no longer get behind the wheel of an F1 sports car? This is according to Christian Post news reports.

Schumacher, 45-years of age is a seven time world champion in the F1 grand Prinx from Germany suffered tremendous brain injury while skiing in the French Alps last December when he fell and hit his head on a rock. He was put into a medically induced coma to reduce the swelling in his brain as he was under intensive care at Grenoble then he was taken to Lausanne, Switzerland. It is great news that he is out of his coma but it is devastating that his home based medical costs have run over $160 000 per week. That's a lot of cash.

According to Latinos Post, Corinna, wife to Michael Schumacher is reportedly the one who ordered the building of a clinic customized to cater of Michael's every needs as he makes his slow recovery at his home on their residential property. This is like no other clinic as it is said to be staffed round the clock by a 15-strong team who have undergone special training at Lausanne clinic to care for the man known to the world as greatest racing driver of all time. These clinical arrangements are slowly costing the family a small fortune week after week.

"The weekly bill for equipment and staff which includes physiotherapists to massage his atrophying limbs, doctors, nutritionists, nurses and neurological experts is estimated to be more than 100,000 EUROs ($160,000)," the British publication stated.
