The upcoming drama/thriller movie Reclaim has released their first official trailer starring Ryan Phillippe, John Cusack and Rachelle Lefevre (you can watch trailer above).
Synopsis: The film follows Steven (Ryan Phillippe) and Shannon (Rachelle LeFevre), an American couple, who travel to Puerto Rico to finalize the adoption of their new seven-year-old daughter. However, when Steven clashes with an intimidating local (John Cusack) and things go from strange to absolutely terrifying when Nina disappears from her bed one night. Despite frantic efforts to recover their daughter, the young couple hit roadblock after roadblock and become increasingly desperate, finding themselves further entwined in a perplexing web of lies and confusion.
Reclaim is directed by Alan White (Broken) and written by Luke Davies and Carmine Gaeta. It also features Jacki Weaver and Luis Guzmán. The film is set to release to theaters on September 19th from Lionsgate Pictures.
Phillippe became a household name in the 90's with his roles in movies such as I Know What You Did Last Summer, Cruel Intentions, and 54. In the 2000s, he appeared in several films, including 2001's Academy Award for Best Picture nominee Gosford Park, 2005's Academy Award-winning ensemble film Crash, and the 2006 war drama Flags of Our Fathers.
Ryan Phillippe has had a busy 2014, also writing/directing/producing the movie Shreveport. He will also be featured in two television roles: "Men at Work" where he plays himself in an episode and "Secrets & Lies", which premieres on ABC this Fall, where he will play the lead role of Ben Garner. The series will be based on an Australian series of the same name.
