Stacie Orrico
Stacie Orrico was only 12 years old when she was signed by Forefront Records. She was 14 when her debut, Genuine, released and 17 when her self-titled sophomore release hit stores. That album, which went RIAA Gold, won her the Dove Pop/Contemporary Album of the Year and its single, "(There's Gotta Be) More To Life" garnered her the Dove Short Form Music Video of the Year. The young woman also walked away with the Female Vocalist of the Year award making 2004 a Dove trifecta for the 18 year old. She got three times the love at the American Christian Music Awards in '04 as well, being named the Female Artist Of The Year and, once again, seeing her single get named Video Of The Year and Outstanding Female Artist (Song). A third release came out when she was 21 and while Beautiful Awakening didn't get the same attention that Stacie Orrico got here in the states, it gained her even more fans from other parts of the world.

But soon after 2006, Stacie began to fade from view. She didn't pull a complete disappearing act like Chris Rice, but there were no new albums, no new tours and no appearances on the books. Now, 15 years after first stepping into the Christian Music spotlight, Orrico is back. A video she posted on YouTube found her sharing what she's been up to and where she's going. The "nutshell version" of the narrative is that she moved to Africa, moved back to New York, went to school, spent time in Colorado writing music with childhood friends and then back again to the Big Apple to spent time in the studio. She's been growing up, out of the spotlight, trying to find her path.

On Wednesday, November 6, her comeback will be complete as she performs a live concert on StageIt. (Stageit is an online venue where artists perform live, interactive, shows for their fans directly from a laptop, offering fans unique experiences that are never archived.) There are only a little more than 50 tickets left, so get yours while you still can! (Purchase tickets) StageIt uses its own currency system, and tickets come out to only $7.00!
