Divergent: Insurgent Movie News and Plot Updates: Caleb to have More Critical Role to Betray Tris and Four for Erudite Faction

It has been revealed that the upcoming divergent; insurgent movie will feature more of Ansel Elgort as well as Shailene Woodley. According to the latest rumors of the Insurgent plot, Ansel Elgort who plays Caleb Prior in the movie is supposed to have more screen time in the second installment of the franchise which is set to be a trilogy. In the first movie, his role was bit a limited and more to background but this is going to change in the upcoming installment. In the second movie, his role is vital albeit unpopular to the audience because of its treacherous nature.

He will betray Tris and Four in favor of his faction. Caleb's betrayal of his sibling is going to be a big  factor in the decisions needed to be made in the  next book and only means much more screen time for  Elgort. This is not the first time that Caleb has chosen Aerodyte over his sister but before he was not aware of their plans for domination of the factions. It seems that the death of his father and mother in the first installment may have numbed  him and made him cling back to his basic survival instinct which is that of cowardice and self preservation  hence the betrayal of the revolution. This will be interesting to watch as how Tris and Four will treat Caleb as a combatant once they realize the truth and whether it will be a cause for friction between Tris and Four because of the familial ties between her and Caleb.

On the other hand, there are reports that there is no lack of romantic scenes between Tris and Four in the upcoming installment of the movie. It was reported that the on screen adaptation of the second book is going to top the first film and apparently it is going to add on to what the first film established, knowing that the book carries along  a huge database. The release date for the second installment has been slated for 2015 March.
