A poignant companion music video also premieres today, visually capturing the song's emotional depth and message of hope.
Blending her warm country vocal with a natural storyteller's gift, the Mississippi native delivers a moving ballad that speaks honestly to loss, disappointment, and life's unexpected turns. "I Know Somebody" acknowledges shared human experiences such as the death of a loved one, job loss, and frightening diagnoses, while ultimately pointing listeners toward the nearness and faithfulness of God.
Brand has been teasing the song across social media in recent weeks, with early listeners already resonating with its universal message. The chorus offers a gentle but confident reminder that even in chaos and uncertainty, hope can be found in Christ.
"I hope people who hear this will find hope in their circumstances and turn to Him alone in the midst of chaos, no matter how bad someone's situation seems," Brand shares. "I hope those who don't know Jesus will find Him through this song."
Born and raised in Meridian, Mississippi, Brand grew up in a musical household as the daughter of a former minister of music. From an early age, she felt called to weave together faith and melody, crafting songs that point people toward Jesus. Drawing from her Southern roots, she combines modern country influences with faith-driven lyrics to create a fresh sound she playfully describes as "Magnolia Made."
Now based in Nashville with her husband, Brand is writing and refining songs for her debut project, collaborating with respected writers and producers while sharing her heart on stages across the country.
In support of the new single, Brand will join Jason Gray, Chris Cleveland of Stars Go Dim, and Will Walker for the Canadian "Acoustic Storytime" tour. Dates and ticket information are available now.
With "I Know Somebody," Holly Brand offers more than a song. She delivers a reminder that no one walks through pain alone and that even in life's hardest moments, hope is closer than we think.
