Mary McCormack is stepping into one of America's most beloved Memorial Day traditions this year as co-host of the 37th annual National Memorial Day Concert alongside Gary Sinise.
The nationally televised event airs Sunday, May 24, at 8 p.m. ET on PBS and will honor America's fallen service members, veterans, military families, and those who made the ultimate sacrifice for their country. McCormack is filling in this year for longtime host Joe Mantegna.
This year's concert features an all-star lineup of performers and presenters, including Alan Jackson, Mickey Guyton, Andy Grammer, Jamey Johnson, Laura Osnes, and Blessing Offor. Additional appearances include actors Noah Wyle, Melissa Leo, and Jonathan Banks.
McCormack, whose father served in the U.S. Marine Corps, said joining the concert is deeply personal.
"What makes this concert so powerful is the way it tells the larger story of service and sacrifice," McCormack shared. "It reminds us of what military service asks of individuals and families, and how much gratitude we owe them."
Viewers can watch the concert live on PBS, stream it on the official PBS website, or watch online via YouTube and the PBS app. The program will also be available on-demand following the broadcast.
