'Utopia' Season 1 Episode 12 Latest News, Synopsis, Review, Updates, Spoilers: Surviving 'Utopia'
No rules. No restrictions. That's "Utopia". The unscripted masterwork of John de Mol patterned on a Dutch TV series of the same title. A TV reality show 'experimenting' on 15 Americans who will try to pioneer a new society. To guide the participants in their journey, the fifteen participants will always have to remember one crucial question - "If you could restart the world, what would you do differently?" Mistakes are inevitable. Learning from those mistakes is the only way to survive.
The 15 pioneers have been staying in a rough land about 5 acres big with no 'luxury' items to make their life easier. They have no bathrooms and their food supply is limited. The society has been surviving with such conditions for almost two months. They have ten more months to go. Will they make it? And will they be able to achieve the ultimate goal - build a new civilization. In the six weeks they have been staying in the back country, the small community removed a political analyst and an animal rescuer. They also banished a handyman, while an unemployed and a preacher voluntarily left.
The fifteen people may survive the challenge, but the show itself might not. According to Variety, Fox's "Utopia" got a shocking 0.8/3 demo rating in the 18-49 category. Hitfix, on the other hand, reports that base on the preliminary Fast National Nielsen data; "Utopia" was fourth on the survey list. Under the 18-49 demographic survey, first was 'Last Man Standing' of ABC network with 6.56 million viewers , second is the 'Amazing Race' of CBS with 5.87 million and third is the 'Bad Judge' of NBC with 3.58 million viewers and finally Fox's Utopia got a 1.87 million viewers.
Will the fifteen participants make it? Or better yet, will the show survive? That's the REAL question. John de Mol made "Big Brother" and "The Voice" programs sure winners, will he be able to do the same with "Utopia"?
Meanwhile, according to TV Guide, viewers will see"A look of developments in the group's seventh week." "Utopia" Season 1 Episode 12 could be an exciting episode to check out.
Maybe there is hope.
