'Fury' Review: Fight for the Liberty and Freedom against the German Genocidal Hitler and the Nazis
Sony Pictures "Fury" is based on historical WWII events where the Allies make their final push in the European Theatre. This classic war film was directed and produced by David Ayer, starring Brad Pitt as Sergeant Don "Wardaddy" Collins.
As Huffington Post put it, the horrors of this war film can be described as brutal, punishing and exciting. Terrifying scenes will let you feel and show empathy seeing the American Soldiers fighting against the Nazi's who got cornered, outnumbered and outgunned in a battle tank.
The cast of the movie includes Jon Bernthal, Shia LeBeouf, Michael Pena, Logan Lerman, Jim Parrack, Brad William Henke, Kevin Vance, Xavier Samuel, Jason Isaacs, Anamaria Marinca, Laurence Spellman and Scott Eastwood among others.
The overall synopsis of the movie was straightforward in general, but Ayer created "Fury" with a tunnel to the soul of every soldier's story and experience during the war. It focuses on the horror that they encountered and their courage to fight for the liberty and freedom against the German genocidal Hitler and the Nazis.
During the first minutes of the movie, Wardaddy plucked out an eye of a German cavalry officer, using a knife and kept it as a trophy. This depicts the WWII era in history showing the audience the hardship of the soldiers in training as they were perplexed in a truck even before Hitler waved the white flag. It is like their final initiation process before landing a day job.
The adolescent Norman, on the other hand, despises killings and it is not his nature to witness grim and horror. However, he is obliged to throw a gunshot without any formal experience as commanded by Wardaddy.
Ayer's intentions of this grisly but cinematic movie deviates from the purpose of showing its audience how it works. The clichés happened and are legendarily printed on and under the World History. He let the untold truth speak to the mind of the watchers by creating a war movie, and Brad Pitt always seems to fit in every character he portrays on war films.
"Fury" premiered on cinemas on Oct. 17, Friday. Viewers will surely feel like one of the soldiers trapped on the hazing and terror of this "torture-training" movie.
