Worship Leader Nathan Jess Shares the Story Behind "Hearts of the Fathers"
Just in time for Father's Day, Northern Ireland based songwriter and worship leader Nathan Jess has released a video for his song 'Hearts Of The Fathers." In a world flooded with dysfunctional families, "Hearts of the Fathers" is a prayer for God to turn the hearts of fathers (and children) back to Him.
The worship leader reflects: "Hearts Of The Fathers feels like a very poignant song for the chaotic environment we currently see all around us. You don't have to look far to find broken homes or to see broken lives left in ruins by the destructive powers of evil at work in our world. Harrowing acts in the name of religion seem to fill our news feed and leave us feeling hopeless.
The incredible thing is that our God is a God who longs to rebuild and restore, pouring hope back into these desolate places. He alone is faithful to heal us and save us and bring peace to communities and nations. He is faithful even to turn the hearts of the fathers and their children back toward each other, a symbol of the very foundational relationships of our lives being renewed in Him.
It is my prayer that Gods healing hand would move like never before, working all things for His good, for He is good."
The song, co-written by Jess and Matt Redman, is taken from Jess' new Integrity Music album Phoenix.
