Perry LaHaie Partners with Vision 5:9 in Global Prayer Movement
Singer/songwriter and morning drive-time radio host Perry LaHaie has a long-held passion for bringing the gospel to the Muslim world through his work with Frontiers, an international community of people dedicated to inviting Muslims all over the world to follow Jesus.
Though reaching the Muslim world presents great challenges, LaHaie is not discouraged. Indeed, following his participation in the recent Abide and Bear Fruit conference in Thailand, LaHaie is more convinced than ever that the entire Muslim world can be reached with the Gospel of Christ by 2028. Abide and Bear Fruit was sponsored by Vision 5:9, a network of 180 mission organizations from across the globe--all committed to reaching the Muslim world with the Good News. 900 mission leaders gathered at this historic conference.
Now he is encouraging other believers to join him, Frontiers, and Vision 5:9 in praying continuously that 10 percent or more of all Muslims will put their faith in Jesus by 2028.
"This is an amazing day to be alive for the followers of Jesus," says LaHaie. "We get to be part of bringing in this massive harvest. Please step into this movement with me on the last Thursday of each month by fasting and praying for 10% or more of our Muslim friends to be swept into God's family over the next 10 years."
Dubbed "10 in 10," the movement is far more than just a catchy slogan. It is a message that God impressed on the hearts of the leaders during the Thailand Conference: "Pray and fast for the next 10 years to see 10 percent of the world's Muslims saved." And now it is a conviction among the Vision 5:9 Network that God is calling believers to pray and fast for this vast harvest of souls.
The "10 in 10" prayer and fasting movement has been steadily gaining momentum since it was initiated at the beginning of 2018, as people all over the world have committed to pray and fast for the harvest. LaHaie wants to encourage many to partner with him on the last Thursday of each month in praying and fasting for 10 percent or more of the Muslim world to be swept into God's family over the next 10 years. Those who wish to participate will receive text and email reminders from LaHaie each month, along with the specific prayer focus for the month. To join LaHaie, send your cell number and email address to perrylahaie.com/contact.
"I believe with all my heart that one day in the age to come, Muslims will come up to you to thank you for your link in the chain that reached them," says LaHaie.
