Lauren Daigle Scores Her First #1 Dance Hit, Thanks to Petey Martin
Multiple Grammy and Dove Award winner Lauren Daigle scores her first ever #1 dance hit, thanks to Petey Martin. Their collaboration effort "Come Back Home" debuts this week at No. 1 on Billboard's Dance/Electronic Digital Song Sales chart (dated Jan. 23). "Home"
is also the first #1 hit for Martin.
The song sold 2,000 downloads in the week ending Jan. 14, according to MRC Data. "Home" concurrently bows at No. 18 on the multi-metric Hot Dance/Electronic Songs chart, also boasting 535,000 U.S. streams.
Martin wrote and produced Celine Dion's "Ashes" from the Deadpool 2 Motion Picture Soundtrack. This project helped catapult him into producing, where he decided to pursue a career in dance music with the help of Kygo and his Palm Tree Records team. In 2019 he wrote/produced "Think About You" by Kygo, "Bigger Than" by Seeb, and made his debut as an artist in his own right, collaborating with Matoma on their song "Keep It Simple" (featuring Wilder Woods). Last year, Petey wrote and produced five song's on Kygo's Golden Hour album, as well as releases with Loud Luxury, Frank Walker, and a remix for Seeb.
"Come Back Home" is available now to stream or download.
