Wintley Phipps To Release "Amazing Grace: Hymns And Gospel Classics"
Wintley Phipps showcases the powerful, unmistakable bass-baritone voice that has performed for international dignitaries, American presidents and audiences around the world on his upcoming album Amazing Grace: Hymns and Gospel Classics, due out July 21 via Gaither Music Group.
A minister and GRAMMY Award-nominated singer-songwriter, Phipps delivers joyful renditions of some of his most-requested hymns and gospel classics on the 15-track album, including "Amazing Grace," "How Great Thou Art," "I Surrender All," "We Shall Overcome," "Let There Be Peace on Earth," "Power in the Blood," "Amen" and more.
"The gift of song transfigures the character and lifts us into the very presence of God," Phipps says. "My prayer; Lord, may the music on this project inspire and draw many closer to Jesus."
An accompanying Amazing Grace: Hymns and Gospel Classics DVD features LIVE performances of "Amazing Grace," "How Great Thou Art," "I Surrender All," "Amen" and more, along with a heartfelt interview with Gospel legend and friend Bill Gaither.
The filming will air as a TV special beginning on Wednesday, July 19, on networks including PBS, TBN, RFD-TV, GaitherTV, FamilyNet, CTN, GMC, GMTN, Guardian, Liberty, TCT and TLN. It will air in Canada on Vision TV, CTS, The Miracle Channel and Hope TV.
