Christian recording artist Jason Gray has shared a heartfelt update with fans and supporters, announcing that his son Jacob's cancer has returned.
Jacob was first diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (ALL) in 2019 and had been in remission following treatment. Jason recently revealed that a biopsy of a tumor in Jacob's eye has confirmed the cancer has returned. Doctors have indicated that the disease has progressed more quickly than expected, and Jacob will now undergo a series of treatments in hopes that one will slow the cancer enough for him to qualify for a stem cell transplant.
As Jacob is currently unable to work while undergoing treatment, Jason has launched a GoFundMe campaign to help cover medical expenses and monthly living costs. The initial fundraising goal is $22,000 to assist with Jacob's immediate needs during this first phase of treatment.
Jason and his family have expressed sincere gratitude for the outpouring of prayers, encouragement, and support they have already received from the Christian music community and beyond.
