Six-time GRAMMY Award winner and 2022 Kennedy Center Honoree Amy Grant is inviting listeners into a deeper conversation with the release of her new single, "The 6th of January (Yasgur's Farm)," available now via Thirty Tigers. The track will appear on Grant's forthcoming studio album, her first collection of all-original material in more than a decade, due later this year.

Produced by ten-time CMA Award winner and Nashville Songwriters Hall of Famer Mac McAnally, the song emerged from Grant's reflections on unrest, disconnection, and the quiet responsibility each person carries in shaping the world around them. Rather than offering easy answers, "The 6th of January (Yasgur's Farm)" sits with uncertainty, asking listeners to consider whether healing begins not with solutions, but with shared perspective.

"We operate in the world around us and sometimes neglect the power of what we have in our choices," Grant explains. "The song observes life and the unrest many of us feel, while knowing we are shaping the world around us daily. Maybe life and problem solving is more of a 'we' than 'me' conversation. If we can choose to look through a lens other than our own, maybe there is hope to come together and find a way through the unrest."

Drawing inspiration from the idealism surrounding Woodstock and its iconic setting at Yasgur's Farm, the song looks back with wisdom rather than nostalgia. Grant weaves cultural touchstones such as Harpers Ferry and the legacy of John Lennon into a meditation on unity, empathy, and collective responsibility. Sonically, the track carries a reflective, folk-leaning sensibility reminiscent of Joni Mitchell, while remaining unmistakably Grant in its warmth and clarity.

More observation than polemic, "The 6th of January (Yasgur's Farm)" encourages listeners to pause, listen, and resist the urge to rush toward division. It suggests that while the work of healing is unfinished, hope is still present when people choose to move forward together.

With a career spanning more than four decades, Grant has sold over 30 million albums worldwide, amassed more than 2.2 billion global streams, and helped shape the landscape of Contemporary Christian Music as its first artist to earn a platinum record, reach No. 1 on the Pop charts, and perform at the GRAMMY Awards. Her accolades include stars on the Hollywood Walk of Fame and Music City Walk of Fame, induction into the Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame, and recognition as a 2022 Kennedy Center Honoree for lifetime artistic achievement.

Later this month, Grant will be honored with the Woman of Courage Award at the American Heart Association Gala in New York City and will follow with a series of headline tour dates throughout February.
