Worship leader and recording artist Sean Feucht has released a powerful new worship project titled Make Me a Sanctuary, now available on all major streaming platforms. Unlike meticulously planned studio recordings, this release emerged from an unguarded, holy moment-an intimate gathering of families, prayers, and praise offered in the quiet days at the start of the New Year.
Rooted in the declaration of Genesis 28:16 (NIV) - "Surely the LORD is in this place, and I was not aware of it" - the project captures what Feucht describes as "the most unlikely collaboration in the most unsuspecting of places." During what began as a simple family reset, God met those gathered not in a sanctuary or stage, but in a living room.
"A blanket of peace covered our families as we worshiped, prayed, and consecrated 2026 to the Lord," Feucht shared. "We laid down the weight of the last season and picked up the lightness of a new day. It was holy. It was family. It was spontaneous."
In the moment, the gathering felt understated-almost ordinary. It was only later, upon listening back to the recording, that the depth of what had taken place became unmistakably clear. Tears followed as the raw sincerity of the room-its hymns, prayers, and unpolished devotion-came alive through sound.
The recording features heartfelt prayers from Russell Brand, whose intercessions added unexpected gravity and vulnerability to the moment. Lush string arrangements by Antonio and Allison brought a transcendent beauty that Feucht described as "heavenly," while voices throughout the room rose together in unrestrained praise.
Special acknowledgment was given to Antonio and Allison not only for their musical contribution, but also for capturing and mixing the room with sensitivity and care-preserving the immediacy of the moment without polishing away its humanity.
"I can't think of a more timely release this January," Feucht said. "My prayer is that this becomes a soundtrack for your home, your commute, and a reminder of His nearness in the chaos ahead."
Featuring no hype, no stage, and no agenda beyond simple surrender, Make Me a Sanctuary invites listeners into an unbroken experience of worship. Feucht encourages audiences to listen straight through the first time-without distraction-allowing the atmosphere of the room to speak for itself.
"Let His presence be your anchor," Feucht added. "Let His presence be your guide."
Make Me a Sanctuary is available now on all streaming platforms.
