NASHVILLE, Tenn. (MARCH 28, 2026) - Award-winning producer, composer, and artist Tommee Profitt officially released his highly anticipated cinematic album, THE RESURRECTION OF A KING, yesterday. Blending massive cinematic production with deeply rooted faith themes, the project brings new life to beloved hymns including "The Old Rugged Cross," "Jesus Paid It All," "Amazing Grace," and "Just As I Am."
The album features an elite lineup of artists such as Phil Wickham, CeCe Winans, CROWDER, Jenn Johnson, Ben Fuller, Jon Reddick, and Jeremy Rosado. Fans can listen to the full album and experience the K-LOVE On-Demand special.
Earlier this week, Profitt celebrated the project alongside collaborators at a premiere event for the K-LOVE documentary and album special. The two-hour film captures the heart behind the music with live performances recorded at Nashville's iconic Oceanway Studio, exclusive interviews, and behind-the-scenes footage. Attendees at the star-studded premiere included Bay Turner, Abe Parker, Jeremy Rosado, Anthony Evans, Stanaj, FLEURIE, Mara Justine, and the album's full vocal ensemble.
The 19-track project is highlighted by the focus track, "We Turn Our Eyes," featuring Jamie MacDonald. A cinematic reimagining of "Turn Your Eyes Upon Jesus," the song centers on the victory of the Resurrection.
"With THE RESURRECTION OF A KING, I wanted people to feel like they were there at the cross, or standing outside the tomb as Jesus walked out," says Profitt. "I had tears in my eyes almost every day working on this project. Once the singers stepped in and pushed their voices to the absolute edge... proclaiming something so victorious and powerful... it became almost too much to hold-in the best way."
