Husband-and-wife duo Sainte Jane are set to release their deeply personal new single, "I Will Rest (In Your Sovereign Arms)," on May 15, offering listeners a calm yet emotionally weighty anthem born out of real-life struggle and unwavering faith.
Built on a grounded Americana sound with gentle folk textures and reflective lyricism, the song captures the tension between fear and trust. Rather than offering easy answers, "I Will Rest (In Your Sovereign Arms)" leans into honest questions, fragile faith, and the difficult choice to surrender in the middle of uncertainty. Written during what the duo describes as their own "eight-year storm," the track became a personal declaration of peace through chaos.
The repeated refrain of rest gives the song its emotional centre. Instead of functioning as escapism, the idea of rest becomes a deliberate act of trust while facing life's storms head-on. The song's lyrical approach reflects the duo's desire to create music that is both spiritually grounded and emotionally transparent.
Sainte Jane is comprised of Lauren and Jeremy, who first met at a radio event in Athens in 2011. What began as a friendship soon evolved into a songwriting partnership for a Lauren St. Jane project before eventually leading to marriage a few years later. Over the past decade, the duo has quietly built a reputation for blending thoughtful songwriting with heartfelt worship and roots-inspired musicianship.
The pair have performed at major events including the 30A Songwriters Festival, Fringe Fest in Edinburgh, and SXSW, while also sharing stages with artists such as Alabama, Daughtry, and Diamond Rio. In recent years, Jeremy also performed with Mac Powell at the Grand Ole Opry before joining him on the 2026 K-Love Cruise.
Beyond touring and recording, Lauren and Jeremy currently serve as worship leaders at Church of the Apostles, continuing to balance ministry with their growing music career.
