After more than a month of prayers from fans around the world, there is news - and it carries real hope.

Bonnie Tyler's management team confirmed on June 15 that the legendary Welsh singer is no longer in an induced coma, but remains very unwell and in intensive care at a hospital in Portugal.

The official statement, posted to her website and Facebook page, read: "Bonnie is no longer in a coma but remains very unwell and in intensive care in hospital in Portugal. Although her condition is improving, it is a slow process. Her doctors remain confident that she will make a good recovery, but it is going to take time."

Her team also shared that Tyler is aware of the outpouring of love from supporters worldwide, and is very grateful for it.

As a result of her ongoing recovery, all scheduled performances through the end of August have been cancelled or postponed until next year where possible. Her team expressed hope that autumn dates may still go ahead.

Tyler, who turned 75 on June 8, suffered cardiac arrest last month when doctors attempted to bring her out of the coma following emergency intestinal surgery in Faro, Portugal. She has been in intensive care ever since, with her family keeping a constant bedside vigil.

For the millions who have followed her journey - from her 1978 breakthrough "It's a Heartache" to the timeless power of "Total Eclipse of the Heart" - this update is the one they have been waiting for. The road ahead is still long, but she is on it.

We continues to lift Bonnie Tyler and her family up in prayer, trusting that the same resilience that has carried her through five decades of music will carry her through this too.
