Justin Bieber's absence from Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce's highly anticipated wedding didn't go unnoticed-and now fans are wondering why the pop superstar skipped one of the biggest celebrity events of the year.
Instead of joining the star-studded guest list, Bieber spent the holiday weekend enjoying a quiet escape in Idaho. On Sunday morning, the singer was photographed paddleboarding alone on the scenic waters of Lake Coeur d'Alene, embracing a low-key vacation far from the Hollywood spotlight.
Photos obtained by multiple outlets showed the Grammy winner shirtless and wearing bright pink swim shorts as he rode what appeared to be an electric paddleboard. Although he arrived by boat with four other people, Bieber reportedly spent nearly an hour by himself on the water, soaking in the peaceful surroundings.
Earlier in the weekend, Bieber was also seen spending time with his wife, Hailey Bieber, alongside friends Kendall Jenner and Jacob Elordi, making Idaho an unexpected celebrity hotspot over the Fourth of July holiday.
His relaxing getaway came at the same time Swift and Kelce were celebrating their wedding with family and celebrity friends, leading many fans to question why Bieber wasn't among the guests.
Some social media users pointed to Bieber's past support of former manager Scooter Braun during Braun's widely publicized dispute with Swift over the ownership of her music catalog. Others suggested the singer may have simply chosen to prioritize a private family vacation. At this point, however, there is no evidence that his absence was connected to any past disagreements, and Bieber has not publicly commented on why he did not attend.
The Idaho retreat also comes amid growing reports that Bieber is discussing a possible performance at the upcoming FIFA World Cup Final, signaling that the singer may soon return to one of the world's biggest stages.
For now, though, Bieber appears content trading celebrity parties for mountain views and quiet moments on the lake.
While fans continue to speculate about why he wasn't at Swift and Kelce's wedding, the only confirmed fact is that Bieber spent the weekend enjoying a peaceful getaway with family and friends-far from the spotlight and even farther from the wedding festivities.
