Living Again Releases Honest New Single "Cynical and Jaded"

Living Again releases their new single "Cynical and Jaded," out now via Near Kingdom Records.

The song starts in a place a lot of people know but do not always talk about: dry wells, unanswered questions, and the quiet fear that faith does not feel the way it used to. It is not a song that pretends everything is fine.

"I never stopped asking why / I've been searching all my life" opens the door. "The wells that I've dug have all but run dry" names the exhaustion. By the time the chorus arrives, the song has become a prayer: "Let me drink from your fountain again."

That is the center of "Cynical and Jaded." It is a song for people who still have hope, but feel worn down. People who are tired of performing certainty. People who need to know God can meet them in honest faith, not just polished faith. Musically, it is Living Again's loudest and most energetic release yet.

The release follows earlier momentum from "Dive Into" and "Like A Branch," with Living Again continuing to find an audience in the indie Christian rock space. Their music has landed Spotify editorial support from Christian Rising, Top Christian Rock, Christian Alt, and Fresh Finds Faith, as well as wide editorial support across Apple Music.

Living Again started during lockdown, leading worship in parking lots and outlet malls around Oceanside. That beginning still feels connected to the band's sound: raw, energetic, and built around songs that feel better when people are singing them together. Now, the band has gained over 100,000 followers and cemented themselves as a staple in the indie faith-based scene.

For fans of Citizens, Colony House, Switchfoot, The Killers, and Gable Price and Friends, "Cynical and Jaded" is an indie rock song for the spiritually tired and the still-reaching.

The single is available everywhere now.
