"Choosin' Texas" has now spent a 14th week at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100, officially tying Whitney Houston's "I Will Always Love You" and Mariah Carey's "We Belong Together" for the longest-running non-holiday No. 1 by a solo female artist with no male-billed act.
Only Carey's holiday perennial "All I Want for Christmas Is You," with 22 weeks accumulated across multiple seasons, has spent more time atop the chart among songs led solely by women. Behind Langley's tie sit Brandy & Monica's "The Boy Is Mine" at 13 weeks, and Destiny's Child and Toni Braxton both at 11.
The song, which first hit No. 1 in February, also continues to dominate elsewhere - currently logging its 30th week atop Hot Country Songs and its 13th week leading Streaming Songs. Langley isn't relying on one hit alone, either: she still holds three simultaneous spots in the Hot 100's top 10, alongside "Be Her" and her Morgan Wallen duet "I Can't Love You Anymore."
The Alabama native's breakout year keeps building on a foundation she's been open about crediting to her faith, having closed her seven-trophy ACM Awards sweep in May with the words "thank you, God." Her momentum shows no signs of slowing - she recently played the biggest show yet of her Dandelion Tour, a sold-out date in Hamilton, Ontario.
With Whitney Houston and Mariah Carey now sharing chart history with a rising country star from Alabama, "Choosin' Texas" has cemented its place among the greatest No. 1 runs of all time.
