Savannah Guthrie has released a new video message directly addressed to whoever took her mother, nearly six months after Nancy Guthrie disappeared from her Tucson, Arizona home.
In the video posted to her social media, the "Today" co-anchor said her family remains in the same painful limbo they've been in since her mother vanished, describing an ache that hasn't eased with time. She said the family has done everything asked of them and has no intention of stopping the search.
Savannah then turned her message directly to the person or people responsible, asking them to come forward with information on her mother's whereabouts. She said she still believes it isn't too late to make things right, no matter what has already happened, and closed by saying she believes there's always a way back to doing the right thing.
Nancy Guthrie, 84, was last seen at her Catalina Foothills home on January 31 and was reported missing the next day after she failed to appear for a Sunday church livestream - something her family has said she never missed. The case was later upgraded to a homicide investigation, though no suspect has been publicly named.
The disappearance has drawn national attention in recent weeks, from renewed searches near the U.S.-Mexico border to a crime scene investigator publicly questioning how authorities have handled the case. Through all of it, the Guthrie family's faith has remained visible - Savannah has repeatedly thanked viewers for their prayers on air, and this latest video continues that same posture of hope rather than despair.
