Stephen Curry and Ayesha Curry are marking 15 years of marriage, and their story traces back not to Hollywood or the NBA, but to a church youth group in Charlotte, North Carolina.
The couple first met as teenagers, Stephen 15 and Ayesha 14, at their church youth group in 2003. They reconnected years later in Los Angeles, began dating in 2008, and married on July 30, 2011, at the Ballantyne Resort in North Carolina in front of roughly 400 guests.
The Currys celebrated their anniversary on July 30 with a low-key dinner date. Stephen shared the moment on Instagram, telling fans, "We are blessed and grateful and love is still alive, people." Ayesha reshared the video on her own Instagram Stories, writing that there was "so much more to experience by the grace of God," adding that she remains grateful for her husband "every second of the day."
The two-time NBA MVP and the Sweet July founder now have four children together: daughters Riley, 14, and Ryan, 11, and sons Canon, 8, and Caius, 2. Despite nearly two decades together, Stephen and Ayesha have continued marking each anniversary publicly, often crediting their faith and long history together for keeping their marriage strong.
