Will Friedle is turning 50-and he's apparently planning a birthday party big enough to double as a Boy Meets World reunion.
The actor, forever remembered as lovable Eric Matthews, revealed on the August 13 episode of Pod Meets World that approximately 170 guests are expected at his milestone bash. Friedle said the gathering could bring together one of the largest groups of Boy Meets World cast and crew since the beloved ABC sitcom ended in 2000.
And some very familiar faces have already made the cut.
Friedle confirmed that William Daniels, the 99-year-old actor who played the unforgettable Mr. Feeny, and his wife Bonnie Bartlett, who portrayed Dean Lila Bolander, are expected to attend. Writers, producers and other cast members are also among the invitees, while the party itself will reportedly feature a bar and a prom-style photo station.
But there's one potential guest fans are bound to be watching for: Ben Savage.
Friedle, Danielle Fishel and Rider Strong have spoken publicly about their estrangement from their former costar, who played Cory Matthews. The trio have said Savage unexpectedly stopped communicating with them, with Strong claiming Savage eventually blocked their phone numbers. Savage has largely remained publicly silent about their account of the falling-out.
Despite the hurt feelings, Friedle has repeatedly indicated that the door to reconciliation isn't permanently closed, saying earlier this year that there was still "always hope."
So far, there is no confirmation that Savage is invited to-or planning to attend-Friedle's birthday celebration. But with potentially dozens of people from the Boy Meets World universe gathering under one roof, his absence would certainly be noticeable.
And if Cory Matthews unexpectedly walks through the door?
