"Choosin' Texas" spent its 17th week at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 this week, marking the fourth-longest run atop the chart in its entire history. The record it broke back in March belonged to Swift, whose "We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together" spent three weeks at No. 1 in 2012 - a mark that stood for 13 years.
Langley has now held the record for the most weeks ever spent atop the Hot 100 by a woman whose song also topped Billboard's Hot Country Songs chart, and she's held it more than five times longer than Swift ever did.
The song, co-written by Langley with Miranda Lambert, Luke Dick, and Joybeth Taylor, first hit No. 1 back in October 2025. Ten months later, it's still there. Langley's sophomore album, "Dandelion," has also debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200, and she currently holds the record for most weeks at No. 1 on the Country Producers chart among women - a list that includes only Swift, Beyoncé, and Lambert otherwise.
For Langley, the success has never been separated from her faith. The Alabama native, raised Southern Baptist in the small town of Hope Hull, has spoken openly about reconnecting with her faith during a difficult season last year, reading Scripture daily and calling God her "one North Star" during a tour stop earlier this summer.
Her album track "Speaking Terms" wrestles directly with spiritual doubt and distance from God - a theme she's continued to speak on candidly even as her chart numbers keep climbing.
