Matthew West has released "Here And Heaven," a new song from his upcoming 14th studio album, Jesus Is King, out now across streaming platforms. The track arrives as the latest preview of the 12-song project, due September 25.
Sharing the release, West wrote that the song was born out of what he called "heavy days" - a reminder that "this world isn't our final destination." He continued, "Until Heaven, we don't have to live without hope. We have a King who is still in control, even when everything around us feels out of control. He's not just the King of Heaven. He's the King of both."
"Here And Heaven" follows earlier singles from the record, including the title track "Jesus Is King" and "Back to Jesus," both of which West has described as songs meant to remind listeners that fear, failure, and the noise of the world "don't get the final word."
The five-time GRAMMY nominee will bring the new album to audiences this fall on his 17-stop Jesus Is King Tour, kicking off September 10. West previously played a sold-out show at Red Rocks Amphitheatre alongside Chris Tomlin earlier this month.
