Anne Wilson has released her new single "Who I Am To You," a soaring anthem that pushes back against comparison, insecurity, and the labels the world tries to place on people.
The GRAMMY-nominated, Platinum-certified artist put out the track via Capitol Christian Music Group, alongside an official music video directed by Alexa Campbell. Written by Wilson with AJ Pruis and Matthew West, the song had already gathered over 800,000 views on social media before its official release and is now impacting Christian radio.
"'Who I Am To You' is a reminder that our identity isn't defined by the labels the world puts on us. It's defined by what God says is true about us," Wilson said. "This song is all about trading the lies, insecurities, and negative labels we've believed for the truth of who God created us to be."
The 24-year-old Kentucky native shared on social media that the song grew out of her own recent struggle with identity. "My prayer is that this song reminds you to silence the lies, let go of the labels, and hold onto what God says is true," she wrote. "You are known. You are loved. You are His."
The single marks the first release of Wilson's next musical chapter, following her third studio album Stars and its July expansion, Stars (Blue Hour Deluxe). Wilson will perform the new track overseas at the UK's Big Church Festival and The Long Road Festival before launching the fall leg of her STARS Tour on September 10 in Portland, Oregon.
