Ryan Stevenson is celebrating 10 years of his chart-topping hit "Eye of the Storm" with a brand-new version of the song - this time featuring his and GabeReal's own children.
Stevenson announced the news on Facebook, sharing a video message alongside the caption, "To celebrate 'Eye of the Storm' 10 year anniversary, we got mine & Gabe's kiddos together for a Kids Version." In the clip, Stevenson tells fans, "We are recording a brand new version of Eye of the Storm."
The original "Eye of the Storm," released on Stevenson's 2015 album Fresh Start and featuring fellow Christian artist GabeReal, became Stevenson's first song to top both the Billboard Hot Christian Songs and Christian Airplay charts. The song's message of finding peace and God's presence in life's hardest moments - "You alone are the anchor, when my sails are torn / Your love surrounds me in the eye of the storm" - resonated widely with listeners and has remained one of Stevenson's most recognized songs a decade later.
The anniversary release, teased under the title "Eye of the Storm (A Decade Later)," brings the song full circle by passing it to the next generation of both artists' families. No official release date for the new version has been announced yet, though Stevenson indicated the recording is already underway.
