Stevie Wonder Announces First Tour in Over a Decade: 50 Years of "Songs in the Key of Life"

The 76-year-old, 25-time Grammy winner has announced the Songs in the Key of Life Performances - 50th Anniversary Tour, a run of shows marking half a century since the release of his 1976 double album, widely regarded as one of the greatest records in popular music history.

Promoted by Live Nation and produced by Wonder Productions, the tour will feature the album performed in its entirety each night.

The European and UK leg kicks off October 13 in Birmingham, with stops in Paris, Copenhagen, Oslo, Stockholm, Hannover, Cologne, Amsterdam, and Dublin before returning to the UK for London, Manchester, and Glasgow. The U.S. run opens November 19 at Madison Square Garden in New York, followed by Washington, D.C., Detroit, and a December 19 closing show at the Intuit Dome in Los Angeles.

Presale for Europe and the UK began September 9, with general on-sale following September 10 (North America, excluding Detroit) and September 11 (Europe/UK) through Live Nation.

Songs in the Key of Life earned Wonder his third consecutive Album of the Year Grammy and included "Have a Talk With God," one of the most direct professions of faith in his catalog. Wonder himself has credited the album's creation to "letting go and letting God give me the energy and strength I needed" - a thread of gratitude and trust that still runs through the music half a century later.
