Tina Duckworth, wife of late Taylor Made singer Brian "Nashville" Duckworth, is sharing her first public tribute since her husband's death last week, describing him as a devoted family man whose loss has left an emptiness she says she still can't put into words.
"He had a huge heart and truly would have given you the shirt off his back," Tina wrote, remembering him as humble and selfless above all else. She recalled 19 years of marriage marked by laughter and storytelling, adding that she's grateful for every memory the couple built together.
Tributes have also poured in from the country music community. Songwriter Sean Gasaway, who co-wrote music with Taylor Made, remembered Duckworth as "a good Christian man" and prayed for the family to find comfort "in the loving arms of Jesus." TV personality and fly fisherman Curtis Fleming, whose father grew up alongside Duckworth's, shared similar condolences for the family.
Funeral services have now been set. Visitation will be held Sunday, September 13, from 1 to 6 p.m., and Monday, September 14, from 9 a.m. until the noon funeral service, both at Bartlett Funeral Home in Grafton, West Virginia, with Pastor Baron Claypool officiating. Entombment will follow at Floral Hills Memorial Garden.
A GoFundMe organized by a family friend has also been established to help cover funeral costs and bills during this time, and has already drawn support from the community that knew Duckworth's voice long before the charts ever did.
