Reba McEntire will reportedly lead a special tribute to Dolly Parton during the 78th Emmy Awards, giving the ceremony a deeply personal country-music moment following Parton's death at age 80. The two women were not merely fellow superstars; they shared decades of mutual admiration, memorable performances and a friendship rooted in music, faith and unmistakable Southern warmth.
Following Parton's death, McEntire remembered her friend in a tender social-media message: "Your love, your music and you gave so much with your huge huge heart. There will never ever be another you."
Now Reba will have the difficult task of honoring Dolly before millions of viewers. The pairing feels especially poignant because Parton's legacy reached far beyond country music.
