George and Amal Clooney have been by the side of longtime friends Cindy Crawford and Rande Gerber this week, following the death of the couple's son, Presley Gerber, who passed away at 27.
Sources close to the families say the Clooneys, who have been friends with Crawford and Gerber for decades and co-founded the tequila brand Casamigos with Rande, dropped everything to be present for the grieving parents. George and Amal have also been described as staying close to Kaia Gerber, Presley's younger sister, as she navigates the loss of her brother.
A representative for the Crawford-Gerber family confirmed Presley's death in a statement, saying simply, "The family is asking for privacy during this very difficult and painful time." Presley, who had been open in recent years about his struggles with mental health and addiction, had spoken candidly in a 2024 video series called "Mental Health Mondays" about wanting to help others going through similar battles.
