Dolly Parton's sisters are pushing back on reports of a family rift, a month after the country icon's death.
"I'll say this and this only: there is no feud within our family," Freida Parton wrote in an Instagram statement Wednesday. "No one among the Parton/Owens family is fighting over Dolly's estate. We all love Bryan, just as we all love each other."
The statement followed a separate legal dispute: according to a restraining order filing reported by multiple outlets, Dolly's longtime manager Danny Nozell - who oversees her estate through the company She's Alive, LLC - alleged that her nephew Bryan Seaver made threats and demanded money after being let go as head of security for her properties. Seaver, the son of Dolly's sister Cassie, has denied the allegations, saying his messages were taken out of context. Nozell's filing has not been independently verified by JubileeCast.
Dolly's sister Stella Parton also spoke publicly, emphasizing the family's unity through a difficult season that includes both Dolly's passing and the recent loss of their brother, Denver Parton. "We are still intact and moving forward because our children and grandchildren look to us for strength and guidance," she wrote. "We are grateful for every blessing."
Bryan Seaver had been the one Dolly personally chose to announce her death to the public in August.
