Nashville-based country artist MŌRIAH is launching a new chapter in her music career with the release of "Kick," an upbeat, autobiographical single arriving September 25. The track serves as the first release from her forthcoming album, expected in 2027.
The new single comes as MŌRIAH earns recognition as a Spotify Fresh Finds Country artist, a global program supporting emerging country talent. Fans can pre-save "Kick" here.
Written by MŌRIAH, Paul Mabury, Jon Hall and Marty Maro, and produced by Mabury, "Kick" draws inspiration from a defining moment in the singer-songwriter's family history: the first meeting between her parents.
The song tells the story of her mother dancing in a bar while her future father played bass in the house band. Captivated by her presence, he approached her, setting in motion the relationship that would eventually lead to MŌRIAH's birth.
With lively country instrumentation, vivid storytelling and a bold female perspective, "Kick" celebrates women who embrace their individuality, stand confidently in their purpose and refuse to conform to expectations.
MŌRIAH says the song honors the unconventional spirit she inherited from her mother and the courage it takes to stand out and take chances.
The upcoming album will continue exploring her personal approach to country music, incorporating the Latin and Mariachi influences that have become part of her signature sound.
A New Chapter for MŌRIAH
The release follows several milestones in MŌRIAH's career, including her performance of the National Anthem at the Tennessee Titans versus Philadelphia Eagles game at Nissan Stadium on September 20.
She also made her Grand Ole Opry debut in September 2025 and has continued building recognition for her distinctive blend of country music and Latin influences.
Beyond "Kick," MŌRIAH is preparing to release "Home To Me," an original song featured in the upcoming film JIMMY, which is scheduled to open in theaters on November 6.
She will debut the song at the GMA Dove Awards on October 6. The awards show will air on TBN on October 9, the same day "Home To Me" is scheduled to arrive on streaming platforms and make its national debut on Delilah's syndicated radio show.
