Award-winning producer, composer, and artist Tommee Profitt has sold out his one-night-only Easter concert, The Resurrection of a King, at Nashville's historic Grand Ole Opry House on March 24, 2027. The event sold out during pre-sale, before tickets were made available to the general public.
The strong response marks another milestone for Profitt's growing portfolio of cinematic live music experiences, which combine orchestral arrangements, powerful vocals, and faith-centered storytelling.
The Resurrection of a King Brings the Easter Story to the Stage
The upcoming live production will feature 20 guest artists, a full orchestra, and a choir, bringing Profitt's cinematic Easter album to life. The performance will take audiences through the story of Christ's sacrifice on the cross and the triumph of the resurrection, reimagining beloved hymns through sweeping orchestration and powerful vocal performances.
The concert is based on Profitt's 19-track album, The Resurrection of a King, which includes fresh interpretations of classic hymns such as "The Old Rugged Cross," "Jesus Paid It All," "Amazing Grace," and "Just As I Am." The album is also nominated for a 2026 GMA Dove Award.
Profitt said the live event grew from his desire to bring the music and message of the resurrection to audiences in a powerful new way, building on the success of his Christmas production, The Birth of a King.
The Birth of a King Returns to Bridgestone Arena
Following the success of his Christmas production, Profitt will bring The Birth of a King back to Nashville's Bridgestone Arena for two performances on December 12 and 13, 2026.
The Christmas event, which made its live debut in 2022, has grown into a major annual concert experience. After selling out the Grand Ole Opry House and quickly selling out its Bridgestone Arena debut in 2025, the production is returning for two nights this December.
