Jamie Lee Curtis is holding on to the small, ordinary moments - because those are the ones that remain.
The 67-year-old actress opened up to Entertainment Tonight about her final memories with longtime friends Rob and Michele Reiner, who were killed at their Brentwood home on December 14, 2025. Curtis recalled that their last trip together had been to Stonehenge the previous August, while her husband, Christopher Guest, and Rob filmed Spinal Tap at Stonehenge: The Final Finale.
"I took some beautiful photographs of families and Rob and Michele," Curtis said. She had the photos printed and framed, and personally delivered them to the Reiners' home - the last time she saw the couple in person. During that visit, she said, Rob and Michele were discussing a project to bring creatives together, and Curtis told them she was ready to help however she could.
Her very last exchange with Michele was smaller still - a text about Curtis's daughter, Annie Guest, the Reiners' goddaughter, who was pregnant at the time. Michele wanted to send Annie money. "You're not being helpful," Michele wrote back, after Curtis insisted it wasn't necessary. Curtis recalled the memory with a laugh.
Curtis and Guest had been close with the Reiners for decades, a friendship Curtis honored publicly when she led the tribute to Rob Reiner at the 2026 Emmy Awards. "We all miss Rob, and Michele, and all that we lost this year," she said then.
Sometimes it's not the big goodbyes we remember most - it's the ordinary love we didn't know was the last.
