Worship leader and songwriter Jon Reddick has released a new song, "Welcome (House of God)," a collaboration with fellow worship leader and songwriter Mitch Wong.
Reddick shared the news with excitement on Facebook, writing, "Hallelujah! I'm welcome in the House of God... we all are." He added that Wong had agreed to help him bring the song to life: "And Mitch Wong said yes to helping me sing this song so it's a worship party!" Following the release, Reddick encouraged fans to share it, writing, "Turn it up, share it with somebody, and let me know what you think!"
Reddick, a worship pastor at Church of the City in Franklin, Tennessee, is known for songs like "God, Turn It Around" and "You Keep Hope Alive," and has racked up nearly 330 million lifetime streams. Many of his songs, including this new release, trace back to moments written for his own home congregation before reaching a wider audience.
Mitch Wong, an Australian-born, Nashville-based worship leader, brings his own songwriting résumé to the collaboration, having written for artists including Chris Tomlin, Kari Jobe, Matt Redman, and CeCe Winans.
"Welcome (House of God)" is available now on Spotify, Apple Music, Amazon Music, YouTube, and Pandora - a fitting message from two writers who've spent their careers turning church moments into songs for the wider Church.
