Jackson holds four spots on the vinyl chart this week. "Number Ones" moved from No. 11 to No. 6, while "Off the Wall" and "Bad" both returned, at Nos. 20 and 23. "Thriller" has now spent 424 weeks on the vinyl chart, including four weeks at No. 1.
A decade on the sales chart
The album also reached 520 weeks, exactly a decade, on Billboard's Top Album Sales chart, where it sits at No. 6.
The movie effect
The renewed attention comes as the biopic "Michael" ends its theatrical run at about $1.028 billion worldwide, according to AllHipHop, which cites Box Office Mojo. That makes it the highest-grossing biopic ever. The film stars Jackson's nephew, Jaafar Jackson.
Fans of Christian music may also remember that the gospel-driven "Man in the Mirror" featured the Andraé Crouch Choir, whose pastor-leader Andraé Crouch is called "the father of modern gospel music." Its message of starting change with yourself still resonates today.
