Multi-GRAMMY-nominated singer-songwriter Matt Maher has reached a major milestone with "Gonna Be Alright," earning No. 1 positions on five separate Christian radio airplay charts.
The song reached its fifth Christian radio No. 1 on October 2, 2026, less than five months after its May 8 radio impact date. The achievement comes with "Gonna Be Alright" serving as Maher's first independent release through his own label, Punt Records.
The song has topped five Christian radio charts during its run, including Mediabase Christian Impressions, Mediabase Christian AC Published, Mediabase AC Activator, Billboard AC, and Billboard Christian Airplay.
The milestone marks an important new chapter for Maher as an independent artist and places "Gonna Be Alright" among the notable independent releases to reach the top of multiple Christian radio charts.
Written by Maher with Simon Dumas and Cecily Hennigan and produced by Jeff Pardo, "Gonna Be Alright" delivers a message of perseverance, faith and hope through seasons of uncertainty, gratitude and grief.
Maher says the song can be received both as a song of praise and as an expression of joyful resistance during difficult seasons. Its central message encourages listeners to hold onto hope even when life takes unexpected turns.
The release has also expanded beyond its English version. "Gonna Be Alright (Todo Estará Bien)" and the Spanish version "Todo Estará Bien," co-written with Dumas, are now available. Fans can stream the bilingual version here.
Maher's independent venture through Punt Records launched in partnership with SESAC Music Group, with Audio Salad handling distribution and Music Services Incorporated serving as label administrator.
The song has already reached more than 29 million people through radio, digital consumption and live concerts, further expanding its reach beyond the Christian radio charts.
Maher continues supporting the release with live appearances throughout the fall, including an October 13 performance at The Big Fresno Fair in California. He will also join Sarah Kroger for Catholic Cathedral and parish dates before concluding the October run in Georgia.
Later in November, Maher will join Jonathan Roumie, known for portraying Jesus in The Chosen, for "An Advent Evening with Matt Maher and Jonathan Roumie" at Carnegie Hall in New York on November 29. He will then return to the Cathedrals Tour with Sarah Kroger in December.
With seven No. 1 radio singles, 12 albums, RIAA-certified recordings and a catalog that includes worship songs such as "Lord, I Need You," "Because He Lives (Amen)," and "Alive & Breathing," Maher continues to make an impact on contemporary Christian music.
