Kelly Osbourne says grief over the death of her father, Ozzy Osbourne, was behind the dramatic weight loss that alarmed fans at the BRIT Awards in February. She says she has since gained back about 30 pounds.
The 41-year-old told The Sun in an interview published Sunday that she did not realize how she looked until she saw the photos. She said she was as shocked as everyone else. She had joined her mother, Sharon, on stage to accept a Lifetime Achievement award on Ozzy's behalf.
Osbourne denied having an eating disorder. She said she was mourning her father, who died in July 2025 at age 76, and that eating made her feel sick.
At her lowest point, she said, she went to her father's grave and asked for help. The next day, Sharon introduced her to therapist and life coach Chris Miller, whom Kelly credits with saving her life.
Looking back, Osbourne called it the worst year of her life, but also a really beautiful one in some ways. She said she has learned that her grief is an honour because it comes from loving someone so much.
