YouTube Fan Funding Sign Up, Features, Launch, Rumors And Latest Updates: YouTube Adds New Feature Which Allows The Users To Donate To YouTube Channel Owners
We have the latest for you on the sign up, features, launch, rumors and latest updates of YouTube Fan Funding . YouTube has added a new feature which allows the users to donate to YouTube channel owners. Many people log in to YouTube in search of videos of all sorts of manner. This information has however been termed as rumors and we are not yet sure if it's true. It has been rumored that it is set to launch a subscription based music service but they have inaudibly introduced a new payment service that lets viewers send donations to YouTube channel owners.
This funding feature is apparently in four countries the Unites States, Mexico, Japan and Australia. If you are in one of the mentioned countries you may notice the below pop up that appears inside YouTube.com or the service's apps if the channel owner has turned it on. This was first noticed by the incisive folks at Android Police.
YouTube announced its plans for the launch of a fan-funding option at the beginning of the year with the original unpublicized launch of the feature taking place in the four mentioned countries only. The donations can be made by clicking an icon that will appear at the left corner of a video. This icon will only appear if the producer of the video is willing to accept the donations and if they have turned the feature on.
YouTube say that the creators cannot use Fan Funding to raise funds for a tour or any other specific future goal. In the United States the site has taken $0.21 from every donation plus an addition 5%. This will not in any way replace revenue from advertising but YouTube who enjoy a close relationship with their fans may be able to supplement their advertisement revenue without disappointing their viewers. Google cuts the 5% and a small fee like $0.21 in the use and the remaining amount is sent to the artist directly.
This Fan Funding service is currently enabled on desktops and on Android, with other platforms being expected to roll out soon.
