As the Scandal season 4 premiere draws near so does the Scandal season 4 spoilers going around the Internet. In fact, ABC has released Scandal season 4 episode 1 and episode 2's titles and synopsis.
Episode 1 is entitled Randy, Red Superfreak and Julia and is reported to be directed by Tom Verica where it is set two months after the re-election. It was also hinted that Fitz and Cyrus are trying to make a positive impact on their second term while Mellie struggles with the death of her son.
Episode 2 is entitled The State of the Nation. According to the synopsis provided, the episode revolves on how Cyrus recruits Mary McCormack and Josh Randall, who will be debuting in the episode, to help Fitz in making an impact on his State of the Union address on gun control. Meanwhile, Mellie's struggles are placed in the hot seat of the nation. This episode will also see the appearance of guest star Portia de Rossi.
As one would recall, Olivia, who is portrayed by Kerry Washington, left her firm with Jake, played by Scott Foley, in Sandal season 3. It was reported before that Scandal season 4 will be having a time jump from the events that transpired from last season so fans will know in the upcoming episodes where Kerry and Jake went.
