Dakota Fanning Finally Opens Up About Dating Jamie Strachan Who is 13-Years Her Senior

We've all seen her grow up before our eyes through her movies. Dakota Fanning is now 20 years old and is in love. She's been dating model Jamie Strachan. Strachan is at least 13 years older than Dakota but it raised some eyebrows - and she's finally speaking up about the relationship.

Fanning told The Times newspaper, "I'm super-happy. I think love is very important and it's really fun to have someone to experience things with. It makes everything a bit more special."

The age gap was never an issue for Dakota Fanning. She said, "People love who they love and you go with that. People get so stuck in rules for life. You go with what feels right." Fanning is busy in her career and studies. She is currently enrolled in New York University studying women and film.

The pair was introduced by a mutual friend and was first spotted together in U.S. Open, back in September 2013. They were seen running errands together, coffee dates, watching games - low-key events just like any regular couple - but the couple is too cute to be regular.

Strachan is described as "very shy" and "incredibly nice and sweet," Strachan was born in Bristol, England and signed up as a model at the age of 22. His resumé is impressive. He walked the runway for top designers such as Gucci, Calvin Klein, and Versace. He also appeared on several ad campaigns for top brands such as Mulberry, Calvin Klein, and Tommy Hilfiger.

Dakota Fanning is not the only celebrity he's dated in the past. He dated Behati Prinsloo, who ended up marrying Adam Levine. But for Fanning, this seems to be her first real romance. In an interview with Glamour magazine, she mentioned that she doesn't want to waste her time on dating unless she felt true sparks. She added that she don't really date and have a weird vision of what relationship should be like - just like her parents who met while they were in second grade and married each other after college. Fanning said, "I'm not gonna marry this person. What's the point of doing it?' It's not me being naive. I just know what it's supposed to be like. And I think until I feel that, I cannot be bothered."
