'The Strain' Season 1: The Master Still Lives for Second Season
"The Strain"Season 1 has just had its finale.
"The Strain" is an American horror-drama television series. The first season of the television series initially premiered on FX last July 13, 2014. Then last August 6, 2014, FX network renewed "The Strain" for its 13-episode second season.
The Strain centers on a team investigating a mysterious viral outbreak of an evil strain of vampirism. The plot reveals at which a plane lands at John F. Kennedy International Airport with lights off and doors sealed. Dr. Ephraim Goodweather, an epidemiologist, and his team are sent to scrutinize. On board, they find two hundred dead bodies plus four survivors. The circumstance worsens when the bodies start vanishing from the morgues. Goodweather and a small group of assistants discovered themselves in combat to safeguard, not only their significant others, but also the entire city, from an antiquated threat to the human race.
"The Strain" Season 1 cast members include Corey Stoll as Dr. Ephraim Goodweather, David Bradley as Professor Abrahan Setrakian, Kevin Durand as Vasily Fet, Mia Maestro as Dr. Nora Martinez, Sean Astin as Jim Kent, Johnathan Hyde as Eldritch Palmer, Richard Sammuel as Thomas Eichhorst, Ben Hyland as Zach Goodweather, Jack Kesy as Gabriel Bolivar, Natalie Brown as Kelly Goodweather, Miguel Gomez as Augustin 'Gus' Elizalde, and Robert Maillet as The Master.
The recurring cast includes Drew Nelson as Matt Sayles, Roger R. Cross as Mr. Fitzwilliam, Nikolai Witschl as Ansel Barbour, Johnathan Potts as Captain Doyle Redfern, Steven McCarthy as Gary Arnot, Isabelle Nelisse as Emma Arnot, and Anne Betancourt as Mariela Martinez.
The heroes in the series join forces and fight the common enemy. Professor Abraham Setrakian and Dr. Ephraim Goodweather have trapped the Master and is ready to feel the pounded silver of the swords.
They broke the windows for the sunlight to come in from all directions. The Master tries to escape and throws himself through the glass. He lands outside where the sunlight is stronger. He shouts, sounding like troubled souls seeking for help. Then, he burst into a cloud of dust.
