Dancing With the Stars Season 19, 4th Week's Recap, an Emotional Performance
The fourth week of Dancing With the Stars Season 19 was definitely an emotional one for the contestants. Each performance was themed 'the contestant's most memorable year'. Here are some of the memorable years the contestants chose for their performance:
Janel chose 2002 as her most memorable year. In that year, she moved to L.A. from Hawaii for her career dreams. She also lost B.J., her mentor and vocal coach, to breast cancer in the same year. Janel said, "B.J. always taught me to perform from the heart".
Jonathan chose 2004. It was the year he starred as Lindsay Lohan's love interest in "Mean Girls". For him, that movie was a sign to his parents that he had finally made it, and this was particularly memorable since Jonathan lost both of his parents recently.
Betsey chose 1975. In that year, she gave birth to her daughter Lulu, and being a mom changed Betsey's life, inspiring her to start her own company. She said, "This dance for me is my big thank you to Lulu".
Bethany chose 2009. It was the year she started making the YouTube videos that made her famous. She said that the made those videos as a voice against her old bullies in life.
Michael performed for his friend Dale Earnhardt, who died in a crash at the 2001 Daytona 500, which was supposedly the very first Daytona win for Michael.
