Wayne Haun Ushers in a "Sentimental Season"

15-Time 2014 GMA Dove Award Nominee and StowTown Records co-founder Wayne Haun has just released his brand new Christmas project, Sentimental Season. Currently available at Christian Bookstores, online, digital outlets, and general market retailers, this CD is the follow-up to his debut solo release of Old Soul last year.
Featuring five originals and five Christmas favorites, the album brings to mind the nostalgic sounds of Frank Sinatra, Perry Como, and Dean Martin. In his exclusive interview with Hallels, Haun has this to say about the album's style: "Oh yes. I always wanted to be a songwriter. I also love the challenge of writing different styles. So I challenged myself to co-write songs as if Perry Como or Dean Martin were to be looking for new Christmas material today. My co-writers are so talented. Special thanks to Joel Lindsey, Tony Wood, Jeff Bumgardner and Shelby Haun (yeah, that's my mom) for jumping in feet first."
With its 1940's-style sound, the album comes alive with Haun's cover of Louis Armstrong classic "What A Wonderful World." And he joins voices with fellow StowTown gospel artist TaRanda Greene singing "The Christmas Song" helps highlight the album. StowTown's Ernie Haase and Signature Sound mix in their harmony and Christmas spirit. Meanwhile, Haun's grandmother, mother, and sister add a special and emotional family rendition of "Beautiful Star of Bethlehem". Other special guests include Jaimee Paul and her husband Leif Shires.
