Award-winning producer, songwriter, and composer Tommee Profitt has released his powerful new single "There Is Power" featuring Crowder on March 13, offering another preview of his upcoming cinematic Easter project The Resurrection of a King, arriving March 27.
The new track reunites Profitt and Crowder following their widely celebrated collaboration on "Go Tell It on the Mountain" from Profitt's acclaimed Christmas project The Birth of a King. While the two songs share a similar spiritual intensity, "There Is Power" stands as a bold and distinct anthem driven by Crowder's raw, soaring vocal performance.
The recording process itself became part of the story behind the song. Crowder recorded his vocals from his studio in Atlanta while Profitt directed the session remotely over FaceTime, encouraging the singer to push his vocal range higher and sustain notes longer than usual.
"We always talk about that big scream in 'Go Tell It on the Mountain,' but on this track he actually goes higher and yells even more," Profitt explained. "At one point he had to stop and come back the next day because we basically maxed him out-but that's where the power in his voice comes from."
The collaboration came together quickly after Profitt texted Crowder with the idea for the song. Crowder responded almost immediately: "Dude, I'm in," and recorded the track the following week.
"There Is Power" serves as a preview of Profitt's ambitious Easter project The Resurrection of a King, a cinematic soundtrack centered on the story of Christ's resurrection. The project reimagines beloved hymns including "The Old Rugged Cross," "Jesus Paid It All," "Amazing Grace," and "Just As I Am."
The album also features an impressive lineup of artists, including Phil Wickham, CeCe Winans, Jenn Johnson, Ben Fuller, Jon Reddick, Jeremy Rosado, and Jamie MacDonald, among others.
The Resurrection of a King follows the success of Profitt's groundbreaking Christmas project The Birth of a King, which has generated more than 200 million global streams and grown into an annual live holiday concert event. The production has become a major seasonal gathering, highlighted by a 2025 performance at Nashville's Bridgestone Arena featuring more than 20 artists, a 50-piece orchestra, and a 100-person choir performing before a sold-out crowd of over 12,000 fans.
