The selfie is one of the big trends of the year and we're seeing various smartphone dedicated to the craze. Now here come another smartphone meant especially for the craze of Selfie from HTC, HTC Desire Eye. We could be very close to the arrival of the Desire Eye as HTC has scheduled a New York event for 8 October called 'Double Exposure' which will kick off at 9pm UK time.
HTC One Eye handset has been rumored for quite some time now. Rumors have been pointing to a HTC One M8-like device with a significantly better camera. But no one is still sure about what HTC is planning? Whether the HTC Desire Eye is a mid-range smart phone, or it is going to be a high-end HTC Eye? Luckily, it seems like HTC will launch 2 versions of the device according to the latest report, though it seems that HTC Eye might not be the HTC One M8 with a better camera but a something completely different.
But we are not sure if it will be a high-end device. According to the sources, it's said that HTC will use really narrow bezels display on its upcoming smartphone. HTC's press conference in New York takes place today and it the latest rumors are to believed we'll see both HTC Desire Eye and HTC Eye launched there. One, or both of those devices will allegedly sport this display if sources are to be believed.
According to the sources, HTC Desire Eye will come with a 5.2-inch FHD display along with 2GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage. The device will allegedly be powered by Qualcomm's Snapdragon 801 processor clocked at 2.3GHz and will come with the earlier mentioned 13-megapixel front-facing camera which will be flanked by a LED flash. 2400mAh battery will also be included, as well as Android 4.4 with HTC Sense 6 UI on top of it. We don't have much information about HTC Eye specifications but on the other hand, it is expected to sport a 5-inch display and that it will be a single SIM device.
