Joan Rivers Death: NY Chief Medical Examiner Revealed Predictable Complication of Procedure
Fox411 reprted recently that the NY Chief Medical Examiner finally released Joan Rivers' cause of death last Oct. 16, 2014. Joan Rivers died last Sept.4, 2014 due to loss of oxygen which eventually led to damage her brain during the procedure. Medical Examiner explained, "The classification of a death as a therapeutic complication means that the death resulted from a predictable complication of medical therapy."
Joan Rivers, 81, was a great comedian and host. It was also revealed that Joan visited Yorkville Endoscopy dated Aug.28, 2014 intended for laryngoscopy as well as for her gastrointestinal endoscopy. Because of this, she was needed to be under propofol sedation in order examine the changes on her voice. While she was at New York City clinic, Joan had a cardiac arrest and because of that she was rushed in Mount Sinai Hospital. However, unfortunately Joan didn't make it. After several days of staying in the hospital, she died.
The Department of Health had an investigation about Joan's death in Yorkville Endoscopy the clinic let go Dr. Lawrence Cohen, medical director of the said clinic. The representative of Yorkville Endoscopy refused to give their comments regarding the laws of disclosing the patient's detailed information.
Despite the fact that Department of Health and New York Chief Medical Examiner had already given their statement regarding Joan River's death there are still people who do not believe and consider her death a mystery. Is there any reason that caused her death? Such rumor arises because Melissa Rivers, Joan's daughter chose not to continue the autopsy of her mother, Gawker reported.
There were questions about her death that fans are asking and even speculating like what really happen while Joan was in the operating room? Did those medical experts done something wrong with the procedure causing Joan's death? Melissa "was despondent when Joan died and told doctors she did not want an autopsy performed," TMZ reported.
The Medical Examiner Office just did what Melissa requested since there was no criminal probe. Well, we never know what really happened, but it there was, truth will prevail. But for the meantime, let's mourn for Joan. Goodbye Joan you will always be remembered!
