Kevin Love Willing To Do Whatever It Takes For The Cleveland Cavaliers To Win

At 26 years of age, the 6-10 power forward/center Kevin Love has already accumulated much in terms of credentials. He is a three-time All-Star and he holds the record for double figures in both points scored and rebounds made for the longest streak of consecutive games played. Love was also a member of the gold medal-winning Team USA at the 2010 FIBA World Championship and at the 2012 Summer Olympics. Yet, despite all that, Love said that it has been "very, very, very bittersweet to say the least that I've had to watch playoff basketball for the last six years."

Now, playing for the Cleveland Cavaliers alongside four-time MVP LeBron James and two-time All-Star Kyrie Irving, Love may finally get his chance not only to make it to the playoffs but very likely to be a member of the next NBA Championship Team. In an interview with Michael Lee of the Washington Post, Love said: "I'd be lying to myself and everybody here if I was telling you I didn't have to sacrifice. I'm willing to do whatever it takes for this team to win because at the end of the day, that's what we want, is to win.... I'm a Cleveland Cavalier. And I'm happy to be here. All that is in the past now, I'm here now and I'm not really focusing on 2015. I'm focused on today."

Love also said: "I'm very hungry. I know that there's not a lack of hunger throughout our entire lineup.... It's going to take a concerted effort from everybody to bring our knowledge of the game, to bring our competitive streaks and to bring our strength and honor to this team. It's not going to be just us three.... The good advice I got early on in my career and early on in life is that if you chase the game, all the good things will chase you. That's just always what I've taken to heart."
